Related: About this forumSky islands and rain, Great Basin National Park
This is one of my favorite places, the basin and range country of Nevada. There is so much public land. This was captured from the road down Wheeler Peak, quite near the Utah border. I *think* that's possibly Mt Moriah in the distance, but I'm not certain.

There's a phone app named PeakFinder that identifies all the mountains and peaks that you can see from your location as you scan it around the horizon. It costs $4.99 and is available for iPhone or Android. The default mode is a simple black-and-white drawing, but you can also turn on the camera and align the drawing exactly with the camera view. I love it!
