Comet C/2023 A3 (Tsuchinshan-ATLAS) this morning just before sunrise.

only had about a 10 minute window between when it rose and when the sky got to bright. in a couple weeks it should be visible after sunset instead of sunrise but with comets you never know

Those are great shots, esp. under such tight restrictions of time and all. Wow. Thank you! CaliforniaPeggy Sep 30 #1

I was looking for it this morning, again. There was a cloud covering that small patch of the sky but I had a great view of the moon! Guess I'll have to catch it on the way out, if it survives the time it's on the other side of the sun.

morning to see an enormous comet in the sky. It was breathtaking. It was the Great comet of 1965:

it was only a couple of degrees high so you need a clear view almost to the eastern horizon.
this is a website that can help you locate it. you have to enter your location in it and it will show you the altitude and azimuth of it

Hopefully in 2 weeks or so it will be visible in the evening and for a longer period of time
