These were taken north of Roanoke, where there wasn't any major flooding. The local roads were open and I saw no damage. I hope the northern portion of the BRP reopens soon.

17. I am hoping you'll do more photos as the season progresses. I miss the Blue Ridge.

My husband is the ocean type but I'm the Blue Ridge type.

The views along the Blue Ridge Parkway are incomparable; I'm hoping the northern portion reopens in time for peak fall foliage.

21. The Peaks of Otter

I've been there several times & stayed at the Lodge and in the campground.

22. Yes. Lake Abbott and Sharp Top Mt. are in the first photo.

The other two photos were taken from a hilltop public cemetery east of the peaks. Sharp Top and Flat Top mountains are seen to the west in the second photo. The third photo is the view facing east. I've dined at the lodge. My mother lives nearby.
