Lucky you to see those planets tonight! I only had eyes for the moon.

The wonderful clear skies are an important part of why I moved to New Mexico fifteen years ago.

I probably had the very best skies when I lived in northern New York State, about 15 miles north of Utica, in the 1950's. I saw the Northern lights nearly every night of the year then.
