We like to see things fresh, healthy and blooming--not decaying.

I suspect that this is the reason for so few recs and zero comments, till now.

Nonetheless, it's an interesting, if not compelling, photo.

3. The major elements of the photo were included intentionally

The vivid red berry holds the promise of spring.

The mushrooms break down the dead plant material and release the nutrients that will feed the flowers in the spring.

I see hope and beauty.

The photo is approaching art. Whether it's good or bad art is a subjective judgement.
