Anyone have inside information if they found a treasure? At the beginning of last season I could of swore
the announcer said this was their last season but at the end it was "tune in next season". My gut feeling
is they have found what they were looking for and keeping it a secret to milk it for all it's worth viewer
wise. When they dug that 6 ft diameter hole and had the casing preventing a cave in, surely they starting
hand digging from there.

I am guilty of having been one on and off. (not trying to insult you, like I said, I got caught up in this stuff too)

(25,922 posts)What amazes me about this show is how little information is passed on in each episode. Most of what we see is repetitive and at the end of an episode I walk away unsatisfied.
I just wish they would address how all this construction of tunnels, swamps and massive underground structures was built back in the days they reference this all came about.
It always fascinated me that here we are in the 21st Century with all this technology, earth moving machines and equipment and they make very little progress. Yet all of what they are digging through was all done be hard manual labor.
I'm hoping this year will be different - but I'm not gonna hold my breath.
The brothers are even going to have a spin-off program this season looking into other treasure hunts.
I'm looking forward to watching 'Hunting Hitler' more than the COOI.
I'm starting research on a future program idea: Hunting Trump.
