..on Plutos Classic TV channel. Shes such a jewel and I could never find her except on public tv fundraising sites where you get a DVD for a hefty donation.

They play her earlier b/w shows as well as the later shows where she hosts a guest chef.

Many of the episodes are Saturday Night Live worthy especially the episode where she makes bouillabaisse..'just chop up a live lobster and put it in the stew'...

I have actually found a recipe Im going to try this weekend...Julia Childs Marco Polo Spaghetti.

trailing behind. Once I was excited to meet her -- but alas, she didn't come to the door when I delivered an item she'd loaned my office. She said through the intercom to just leave it on the stoop. That sprightly voice wowed me though!

..sent him the recipe. Her recipe is still out there in Google-land. The sauce has chopped walnuts instead of meat...but after watching the Kids Baking Championship for years all I can say is Toast your Nuts!

I refuse to chop up a live lobster however (or skin an eel) "nail its head to a board take pliers and pull the skin all the way off'

they are just such an adorable pair, and the conversation is so much more than sharing recipes.

aside- my family happened to be in bar harbor when she died.
the whole town went into mourning.

…quote. When handling hot pasta with bare hands, she is said to have remarked-

“These damn things are hotter than a stiff cock!”

I remember being most surprised when I read that passage.
