I think it's time to start the speculation... Who should be the next Doctor Who?

There are tons of people who could do a really good Doctor but I'm just going to throw out two picks:

Ruth Wilson - I love, love, love Ruth Wilson. She was amazing as Alice in Luther and though I've only watched the first season of His Dark Materials, she is knocking it out of the park there as well. If you are not familiar with her, I can't recommend the Alice episodes of Luther enough.

Iwan Rheon - Yup... The evil Ramsay Bolton would make a great Doctor IMO. His turn as Simon in the show Misfits really showed off his acting range. He goes from mentally and emotionally challenged minor criminal to badass ninja super hero over the three seasons he was on the show.

He's a terrific actor with that certain otherworldly quality.

4. The rumor is that David Tennant may be coming back.

That would definitely be a first, and he was one of my favorites, but at the same time it takes away a bit of the intrigue in terms of seeing how the new person approaches the role.

5. Interesting... I had not heard that...

I went to the google and found this:

The rumor appears to have sprung from a Doctor Who Facebook page claiming that insider info tells them Tennant has been cast for three specials to air in 2023, the show’s 60th anniversary year. Allegedly, Tennant wouldn’t be portraying the Tenth Doctor, but the Fourteenth, meaning Whittaker would regenerate back into Tennant’s appearance. His story arc would then stretch across these three episodes before a new full-time lead is found.

6. With RTD coming back as show runner. I hope this rumor comes true.
