but when I do HAVE to watch them have they increased in volume??? Holy crap .I swear they do turn up the volume on them. Wasnt there a time when they were supposed to decrease in volume???

Supposed to get your attention, some TVs even have a sound leveling feature, just for commercials.

My peeve is when they insert cellphone ringtones and notification sounds and they've nothing to do with the ad.

While watching the ball games tonight I noticed the intro music coming back from commercial breaks was so loud it was hard to understand what the commentators were saying.
