1. I always enjoyed the Quincy episodes.

They would probably seem really dated now, but they were interesting.

2. He was a game changer in the orphan disease/drug world

Orphan diseases/conditions are rare because of that there’s little or no money in making drugs to treat or even cure them. Klugman’s brother had a rare heart condition. The drug companies wouldn’t even explore creating a treatment. Kligman used two episodes of Quincy to draw attention to this. One ended literally with CALL YOUR REPRESENTATIVES at the end. People did. Jack was one of the first celebrities to testify in front of Congress on a cause. Changes were made.

Even as a kid, I loved Quincy's relationship with Sam Fujiyama (Robert Ito.) They were such good friends and colleagues.
