For me: About once a week I'll watch an episode of "Naked City" then some Johnny Carson. And on weekends, I'll watch an old MST3K show.
How about you?

(68,332 posts)Seasons 1-4. Whenever the world is going wrong, and it seems like the human race is in its last chaotic, hellborn days, I relax with a few episodes from the first four seasons of the greatest television show of all time.

(34,368 posts)when I need something that I loved and made me feel like things were OK, even when they are not. It provides some short term comfort.
It was just so well done that even without the politics it was just comforting and entertaining.

(25,904 posts)Outlander - historically pretty accurate and gorgeous in every way!
Heartland (CBC) - have to wait for it to hit here
Only Murders in the Building - Paul Rudd and the great MERYL STREEP are new adds this season!!!!!
Rez Dogs - perfection. Not really comfort, but exquisite balance of comedy and drama. 100% indigenous-created!

(4,610 posts)Saving old fishing camps in Maine. Usually the scenery is beautiful and the crew often recycles building materials to make comfortable cabins. Lots of family history involved at times and the construction crew gets along very well.

(10,886 posts)I'll watch The Incredible Dr. Pol or Dr. Jeff, Rocky Mountain Vet, either of which make me feel good because they treat animals and people so well. Sometimes even Pit Bills and Parolees.
I also like Outlander, because I know how well Diana Gabaldon did her research. I liked Heartland but I finished all the episodes. Also The Good Doctor, Station 19, 911, Chicago Med, and 911 Lone Star, because as a retired RN, well.....yeah. Not that crazy about Grey's Anatomy although I keep up with it.

(1,869 posts)Our need for escape must be huge, because weve binged through 15 seasons (~16-20 each) in eight months.

And I've saved the "Librarian" movies and the "Librarians" series. Always a delightful twist, totally disappointed that it was cancelled.

(24,145 posts)"It has been described as "a cop dramawith a twist ... a dark and fantastical project about a world in which characters inspired by Grimms' Fairy Tales exist."
Its kind of like the X-files, only more quirky (and follows X-Files on the Comet channel). I record them, and watch every night.
Hey--they ended The Walking Dead!

like Will and Grace and I discovered Wings this summer, which I never watched when it was on. It has to be comedy for me. I would watch West Wing if I could find it. I also watch some shows on Food Network. Never been a late night night show watcher, except if Johnny had animal on with Joan Embrey- think that was her name.

(28,645 posts)I love to binge Too Cute. The show is based on the time span of puppies and kitties from their birth to their forever home. ❤️
They are adorable, sweet and just Too Cute. I smile, and laugh, and my heart just fills up with so much love.
I realize I might sound crazy describing a TV show this way, but I think DU'ers would be the first to understand.
If you've never seen it, please check it out. You won't be sorry. I stream it through Hulu.
