(5,011 posts)Well, she was more of a fanatic, and once attended a fan conference in Minneapolis (dressed as Dr. Forrester, natch) where she got to meet the cast and tour the production facilities. She even traded show tapes with fans across the country over the years. I just watched on Comedy Central and then later bought DVDs. Years later, we saw a Cinematic Titanic show in suburban Detroit and I got to meet Joel & company, too.
We're excited to be part of the fans financing the production of the season 14 shows. We get a screen credit and t-shirts for only hundreds of dollars apiece! It wasn't something I would have sprung for on my own, but she seemed really excited about it and now I am too.

(5,011 posts)that the funding drive failed and the new season will not be produced. That's disappointing news to be sure. Maybe some rich celebrity can ride to the rescue.
