Actor, director & sculptor Tony Dow was #BornOnThisDay, April 13, 1945. Remembered as "Wally" in TV's Leave It to Beaver (1957 -'63). In the 1990s, suffering from #depression Dow "came out" to help others seek treatment. Passed last July 22, 2022 (age 77) from #cancer #RIP #BOTD

Exactly a year after the final episode of Leave it to Beaver, Tony Dow (Wally Cleaver) guest starred as Gilbert Thornbury on an episode of My Three Sons called Guest in the House on May 28, 1964. The three brothers are suspicious of every seemingly innocent move the glasses-wearing Gilbert makes, suspecting he is a delinquent who is going to cause trouble.
