Other than a few low-power stations.

After that, you had a digital tuner, or you didn't watch TV. There are a few low-power analog stations near me, but I've never seen them. My oldest flat screen TV can receive analog signals as well as digital signals, but I don't think it can find any analog broadcasts to add to its array of available of stations.
Updated for 2023: my oldest flat screen, which was made in March 2007, finally threw in the towel two weeks ago (in 2023). I'll be offering it for parts on Craigslist.

(60,933 posts)I bought a pair of Zenith DTT901 coupon-eligible converter boxes (CECBs), which would keep my analog CRT sets up and running. As planned, they were free after the rebate.
The DTT901 was a highly regarded CECB. I still have a few CECBs. The tuners are generally much better than the ones supplied in flatscreen TVs.
And good afternoon.

(5,685 posts)so my equipment continued to work as it always had.
I have some low power stations I can watch, but they must be digital because of the way the signal drops out from time to time. My Vizio may have a conversion circuit internally for all I know.

(60,933 posts)I have an old Sony flatscreen TV in the kitchen. It can tune both analog and digital signals. None of the nearby low-power (analog) stations come in.
And good afternoon.
