So one of my litmus tests for famous people (cuz you know they care so much what I think of them) is whether I want to have dinner with them. Some make it, some don't. I would have dinner in a heartbeat with Kimmel, don't want to with Colbert. Jason Segel, absolutely; Glen Powell, no thanks. We live in a very normal simple home, normal a-bit-mismatched furniture and I would be comfortable having Harrison Ford over for homemade mac and cheese.
What about you? Who would you choose to have dinner with, and maybe not?

(5,035 posts)Like a Carol Burnett or an Alan Alda. I could discuss their respective shows for hours. And, I promise I wouldn't even ask Carol about the damn curtain dress. Someone I grew up watching, in other words. One of the old guard tv stars.
Now, if this isn't confined to the living, or even to television/movie people, then the list gets more interesting.

I watched the pilot of Matlock and it is excellent! Ms. Bates looks absolutely stunning with her non nipped and tucked older face. Maybe an eye job, but the rest natural and gorgeous. The show is fabulous and she does a great job of bringing her brand of drama/comedy. She just seems like such a wonderful person to get to know.
Now, Melissa McCarthy? OMG, you know we'd spend the whole dinner drinking and laughing until we peed our pants! She is hysterical to me.
