SPOTLIGHT RACE: Nicholas Gonzales for AZ-LD13H
Nicholas grew up in Arizona, attended Chandler High School, and earned a degree in Urban Planning from ASU Tempe. During law school in San Francisco, Nicholas founded Estas Manos Coffee Roasters – a mission-based roaster that prioritizes coffee farmers and invests in fair trade and sustainability. Like most small businesses, the pandemic made operating in California impossible and in 2022, Nicholas relocated the company back home to Arizona.
Nicholas currently works as a Community Planner for a local non-profit, developing affordable housing and attainable commercial space for Arizona entrepreneurs. Nicholas advocates for progressive housing policy, restoring reproductive freedoms, and the Latino community.
