AZ-LD02: 'Over the line': GOP House candidate made early-morning stop at opponent's house

Legislative candidate Ari Bradshaw was upset that his opponent had backed out of a debate, so he complained about it on social media.

Early the next morning, he knocked on the door of her north Phoenix home to get an explanation.

She wasn’t there when he arrived before 7 a.m. Her husband told Bradshaw, a Republican making his first bid for public office, that the couple had separated and she was living elsewhere. Stephanie Simacek told The Arizona Republic she still lives in the district.

Bradshaw promptly posted that on social media, pointing an accusatory finger at his Democratic opponent in Legislative District 2, one of the more competitive districts in the state.
