Candidate for Arizona Legislature gets suspended and firm gets banned from social media

A Queen Creek Town Council member running for the Arizona Legislature was suspended by Twitter and the marketing firm he runs was banned by Facebook for violating the platforms' rules.

Jake Hoffman's Twitter account now shows as suspended. Hoffman has said he is the president of and CEO of Rally Forge, the firm that was banned, which he called "one of the nation's top conservative digital and communications agencies" in the Center for Arizona Policy's voter guide.

The firm created accounts that were engaging in "coordinated inauthentic behavior" — essentially trolling by posting comments that appeared to be real people commenting on news and sharing right-wing opinions.

The Washington Post broke the story on what some experts characterized as a "troll farm" where teenagers wrote posts on social media on behalf of Turning Point Action, a conservative group working to elect Republicans and led by Charlie Kirk.

gen up their own news stories to generate more sales for their papers. People are getting smart, crooks and scumbags are moving into this field, faking their credentials by claiming that they are for this principle and they are for that principle, and that liberals are in verge of taking over this state blah blah blah. A crook basically and he is running for the state legislature. He can't run on real issues so he has to gen up fake stories and such.

Nice. I hope that he gets his a&& handed to him in the election or he ends up dropping out of the election. Teenagers were writing the stories too...god, how hard up are republicans?
