Ex-Arkansas police chief's DNA sought in murder trial

HOT SPRINGS, Ark.—A former Hot Springs police chief is being ordered to submit a DNA sample in the murder trial of a man charged with killing a Hot Springs Village police dispatcher.

Court records show prosecutors were ordered Tuesday to obtain DNA from David Flory for the trial of 33-year-old Kevin Duck, who's pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder in the death of 46-year-old Dawna Natzke. Flory retired in 2015.

A motion by Duck's attorneys says Flory "had a relationship" with Natzke and asks that DNA found on her clothing be compared to that of Flory.

Prosecutors allege Duck killed Natzke after leaving a Christmas party with her on Dec. 21, 2011. Her body was found 10 days later.
