Harvest Texarkana

http://www.harvesttexarkana.org/AboutUs.aspx

Stamps, Ark.

Harvest Texarkana is returning to LaFayette County with their mobile pantry.

The food bank will distribute pantry boxes from their truck on Thursday, March 21st from 10 a.m. until noon in downtown Stamps.

Seniors 65 years and older will be served in the first hour, the remainder will be served from 11:00 a.m. until noon.

There are no permanent food pantries in LaFayette County, which leaves many low-income families without many options for food.

In 2011, Harvest Texarkana started the program in Stamps.

During that distribution more than 7,500 pounds of food was given to nearly 100 families in less than two hours.
