Ken Aden, Arkansas Congressional Candidate, Drops Out Of Race Over Questions About His Military Reco

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/07/09/ken-aden-arkansas-congressional-candidate-military-record_n_1660248.html

In a statement on Monday, Aden said persistent questions about his military experience have "created a tremendous distraction" as he attempted to unseat Rep. Steve Womack (R-Ark.) in the state's 3rd congressional district.

The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reported last month that military documents disprove Aden's claim that he served as a Special Forces soldier. Aden "washed out of Special Forces training, not once but three times," the Gazette wrote.

Arkansas Democratic Party spokesman Candace Martin told the Associated Press that with Aden out of the race, Womack will now be running without a Democratic opponent in the fall.

*****************************
This means that teabagger, Womack, will have two more years to vote as Boner tells him against everything and anything that might help the people of Arkansas.

If the Democrats do it, they get shamed for it.

By the way, the Democrat-Gazette is a right-wing rag, so I am not surprised they would try to dig up dirt on Aden.

So now the 2012 Arkansas election is going to be REALLY boring. There are no state races, no US Senate race, and the 3rd district race is now a washout, so the Republicans will control the 3rd district seat for at least 48 years straight. There are very few contested local races, at least where I'm registered. And Romney will in all likelihood carry this state by a decisive margin.
