1. While the CA results are good, I'm hoping for a left shift.

It's typical that CA results skew left as the count drags on. I'm expecting that to be the case this year too. I'm hoping in particular that three Democratic incumbents who won Republican districts in 2018 will pull ahead:

TJ Cox 48.6%
David Valadao 51.4%

Gil Cisneros 49.8%
Young Kim 50.2%

Harley Rouda 49.7%
Michelle Steel 50.3%

I think that they will pull ahead. While let's of Democrats voted early, I think that that might not hold true of all in the Democratic coalition and the "late early" votes and provisionals should put them over the top.

https://electionresults.sos.ca.gov/ for the latest and greatest. I'm especially fond of the "unprocessed ballots" page, which usually isn't up until a few days after the election. They also have maps breaking down the president and propositions races by county. Check your county registrar for local results.
