Notes: LASD (Lost Hills Division) and LAcoFD responded to a carjacking traffic collision in a parking lot at 5800 Kanan Road.
A woman ran up and pulled an elderly woman out of her car as she was finishing grocery shopping. The suspect then got into the vehicle and rammed it into a wall before hitting a series of approximately 8 vehicles at 20-50 miles per hour within the parking lot.

Several witnesses from nearby businesses ran over and pulled the driver out of the vehicle and restrained them using bandanas and shoelaces. Deputies later detained the carjacking suspect.
3 patients were evaluated on scene, all refused medical care.
It is unknown why the woman acted in such an erratic manner. Drugs / Alcohol seem to be a factor in the investigation.

Carjacking suspect smashes into multiple cars in Agoura Hills

A suspect tried to steal a woman's purse, then took her car and ended up smashing into multiple parked vehicles in her effort to get away as bystanders tried to stop her.

AGOURA HILLS, Calif. (KABC) -- An attempted carjacking turned into a wild demolition-derby rampage in a parking lot in Agoura Hills, with the whole incident unfolding on video.

A suspect tried to steal a woman's purse, then took her car and ended up smashing into multiple parked vehicles in her effort to get away as bystanders tried to stop her.

The incident started around noon Friday when the 27-year-old female suspect approached a 75-year-old woman in the parking lot of an Agoura Hills shopping center, officials say.

She first tried to steal her purse, investigators say, but she then pulled the driver out of her vehicle, jumped in behind the wheel and put the car in reverse, flooring it as the victim screamed.
