That's the one that goes to El Segundo & LAX. I still think of the freeways by name instead of number.

In Southern California, people always put the word "the" in front of the highway number. As in "Traffic was bad on the 10 today." In northern California, they leave out "the"'. As in "Traffic was bad on 280 today".
Speculation is that they do this in Southern California so they can insert the word "fucking" between "the" and the highway number.

... except when referring to The fucking 405, then it's mandatory.
It's also acceptable protocol when using the 405's proper name, to say The fucking San Diego Fwy.
