San Francisco Proposition B
Bond · Requires 66.66% to pass (unless state Proposition 5 passes, then 55%)
The bond, worth $390 million, would be dedicated to four areas in San Francisco: public-health improvements and renovations at key facilities, including Zuckerberg San Francisco General, Laguna Honda Hospital, Chinatown Public Health Center and City Clinic; an investment in shelter and housing focused on unhoused families; improvements in street safety and road repaving; and improvements at public parks and spaces.
Argument for: The bond is supposed to go towards key parts of The City that are integral to “build a stronger, thriving San Francisco,” said Mayor London Breed, who introduced the measure earlier this year, in a statement.
Argument against: The City is already spending a lot of money on homelessness, and resources should be reallocated from existing resources rather than creating an additional burden on taxpayers.
