Just received my Sample Ballot and have deep concerns about Prop 5

ALLOWS LOCAL BONDS FOR AFFORDABLE HOUSING AND PUBLIC INFRASTRUCTURE WITH 55% VOTER APPROVAL. LEGISLATIVE CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT

"Fiscal Impact: Increased local borrowing to fund affordable housing, supportive housing, and public infrastructure. The amount would depend on decisions by local governments and voters. Borrowing would be repaid with higher property taxes. (emphases mine).

Taxes are already way too high-- this could mean some people will no longer afford to stay in their homes.

I find this very disturbing.

That's generally how bonds are paid for, and your source is very right-wing. TwilightZone Sep 29 #1

If you want better infrastructure and affordable housing, that's the trade-off.

The foundation behind "No New Taxes" is heavily right-wing. Here are their ratings for various California politicians:

Republicans are mostly 100%. Democrats are mostly 0%. You might want to reconsider your source.
