Breaking news! Latest update

on the goldfish in Teller Lake, the amazing story that went viral around the world.
Since Teller Lake is close to my house I went over to see if the story was true. Sure 'nuf though I didn't count them there seem to be at least 10,000 goldfish alive and having a fun time in the lake. Apparently the Open Space people are still deciding whether they will use electric charges to kill all of them or drain the lake.

The national news is now reporting that only in Boulder would we have as much concern for goldfish as for our prairie dogs. I'm sure many DU'ers would argue with that.

But in California, fish ponds are a big thing. Seems to me they could scoop up as many as they could and donate or sell to people who have ponds. Big fish are expensive.

Then, electrocute the poor guys who are left over. Not a 100% solution! but maybe 70% or 80%.
