Denver air is full of smoke

There's a heavy haze everywhere. My eyes are burning. I can't imagine what it must be like even closer to the PNW fires.

2. That's just "moderate." Imagine "hazardous!"

So far, California smoke is south of us and PNW smoke is north of us but NM has had plenty of smoke from AZ and NM fires in years past.

I sympathize. There have been whole weeks when I couldn't see the mountains 8 miles to the east.

3. I opened the windows because it cooled down

and now the house smells like a wood fire.

5. My son in Portland, OR, told me today it was pretty

bad and his eyes were bothering him. Friends at WorldCon in Spokane said it was VERY bad there.

6. i'm a couple miles from the foothills along the northern front range

and they're hazy up here. i know what it's like to have a fire in your backyard and they are in my thoughts.

7. On my way back home to Lafayette, Colorado.

In S. Dakota tonight after two days in Wisconsin. Before I left CO last Thursday there was a strong smokey smell in the air and it was quite hazy. I have noticed how beautiful the sunsets have been here in the mid-west which means there's a lot of smoke in the atmosphere. Sad.
