sunset, moonrise in the pawnee national grasslands

the supermoon rose a few minutes after the sun set and there was no way i was missing photos of that. there's nowhere in town with unobstructed views to the east and west, so the husband agreed to take me out to the grasslands. it was super hazy, so i didn't quite get the pictures i wanted, but i'm not complaining about what i got. there's something special about being just two people with nothing but the sounds of the breeze and the bugs and the yip of the coyotes. we passed a small herd of antelope on the drive and i totally froze. i said "look, look, look!" rather than "stop, stop, stop!"

I sure miss it there, but I hope to be getting back to your neck of the woods in the next 6 months or so. Miss ya too fizzgig and I hope you and yours are well!
