John Elway campaigns against amendment to raise minimum wage, health care.

In a weasel-like way Elway tells voters to vote against the amendment raising the minimum wage. His reason is that it doesn't belong in the constitution. He also says to vote against our health care amendment #69 because it too doesn't belong in our constitution. (Clearly wrong on this point!) Hey, our constitution is called, "the people's constitution" for a reason.

Then he asks that we support an amendment that "requires approval from a super-majority of 55 percent of voters in an election to pass a constitutional amendment instead of the simple majority now required."

If you support 71, that's ok. But the idea does seem a little arbitrary. What god says thou shall not put people's initiatives in the constitution? Oh yeah, the football god. Give me a break. We're paying for that stadium and he has the nerve to tell US what to vote for. Stadium money should be spent on things we really need. Our political system really is broken when you see the things going on. Oklahoma state does not allow cities to raise the minimum wage. Why doesn't Colorado stop cities from paying for professional sports stadium?

He was a talented quarterback, but that's the only nice think I can readily say of him.

Fuck him and the bronco he rode in on! It's sickening how the gazillionaires think hard working Americans who work 40 hours a week don't deserve a living wage. Colorado's minimum wage raise vote, if it passes, takes 4 years to mature to $12 bucks an hour.

Denver has a very high cost of living when it comes to the rental market. $12.00 per hour in 2016 doesn't get you into a shoe box, let alone an apartment. In the year 2020 $12.00 per hour wont have anymore buying power than $7.75 per hour has today.

it's a fucking joke! You need a minimum of $15.00 per hour just to get by anywhere in the good ole USA.

This country gets more and more pathetic each and everyday. And yes, I do blame it all on the fucking re- pukes, all of it. They obstruct everything that's good for this country! I hope they all rot in hell!

As for NFL teams getting "corporate welfare" tax money for stadiums, I find it appalling that any NFL teams are privately owned.

I think Green Bay is the only team with some public ownership, and only because those shareholders were "grandfathered" in.

Why even attach city names to the teams when it's meaningless in terms of ownership?
