Accused Fort Collins mosque vandal released from jail for second time

The man accused of vandalizing the Islamic Center of Fort Collins on March 26 was released from jail for a second time Friday.

Joseph Scott Giaquinto, 35, had previously posted a $7,500 bond but was re-arrested after missing his first court appearance Tuesday.

Giaquinto's attorney told the court that Giaquinto inadvertently missed the appearance because he had the wrong date. Eighth Judicial District Judge Julie Kunce Field set his new bond at $2,750 during his rescheduled court appearance Friday. His previous bond was forfeited.

Later the same day, Giaquinto posted the second bond and was released from custody in the Larimer County Jail. As conditions of his bond, Giaquinto must remain law-abiding and stay at least 10 yards away from the Islamic Center at all times.
