Was on DU and posting til 3 am to distract myself from the howling and banging of the wind. No damage and the lights are still on this morning tho.

(1,562 posts)The transformer on my block blew and it likely won't be fixed today. In my part of SE Denver, lots of downed branches, street signs and everyone's recycle and trash bins were blown over - it's a messy place today.
Glad you have power and no damage - that's great! With the sun out & the whoop-ass put on Romney last night, I'm all good & hope everyone else is, too!

(7,318 posts)The noon news on local channels has been showing the damage done overnight-mostly downed trees. Was sure the tree on the neighboring property was going to come down after seeing it bowed over 30% off center several times last night. It didn't, but it's prob so weakened that the next storm will topple it. I live in Arapahoe Co. Last night, Obama was the lead in 'Stomp' and made w(h)ine out of Romney! Should increase our GOTV totals in CO.

(2,921 posts)At first I thought the neighbor (elderly lady) finally went nuts - but saw more evidence of wind storm (including my recycling bin knocked over on the curb and it wasn't even empty)
We just simply moved it out of the way, but wife was worried about damage to the car. Checked it out - seems to be OK.
