Bernie Sanders adds Denver stop at RiNo's Zeppelin Station to next week's Colorado tour

Sen. Bernie Sanders has added another stop on his Colorado tour, and it’s River North Arts District’s Zeppelin Station.

“This is Bernie’s only Denver event of 2018, so you probably should be there,” according to a Zeppelin Station Facebook post Friday.

Tickets are $27 each and space is limited, according to the post.

The event, for Sanders and Colorado House candidate Emily Sirota, is scheduled begin at 6 p.m. Wednesday. Earlier this month, the former presidential candidate announced get-out-the-vote rallies in Fort Collins and Boulder for the same day.

1. Senate Dems made a great decision tasking Bernie with voter outreach for the party.

He's busting his ass to get Dems elected.

If the candidate wants him there, I say go. He's got a good youth following. And a better independent following. Anything to boost turnout. Especially in those emographics. But, like I said, I leave it to the candidate in that district as opposed to the armchair quarterbacks on DU.

4. Respectfully, why?

Thank you for your civility. My rockbottom concern is we Dems need to FIRST, beyond other considerations, take 23 Republican seats. Period. A Sanders type, read SOCIALIST across red voting areas by various media and the trump huge megaphone, hurts beyond local candidate lines - seems fairly certain in S.C., where my reading of SC candidates is, Sanders 'stay out!' Sanders, and other pols, have their own personal interests, which have garnered unhelpful publicity for Dems pre November. The argument, that Sanders will compensate by getting more Dem votes out does not fly in SC type areas. The SC consensus seems to be, Sanders clearly is a net loss. This argument goes beyond SC borders.

[This is not personal against Sanders, or any of the others, making their 'availability' ambitions public, in early races positioning against one another - which is not in Dem November best interests. Trump and the 'cons have been gleeful at these Dem ambitions].

As I said. If The candidate thinks he can help in a red area, he should go. If not, stay away. The candidate should have a good take on what will help or hurt.

Bit of nuance though. A local candidate in Austin, Texas may want Sanders/Socialist is ok, to appear in his district, for that local candidate's own personal interests and ambitions - which may not be good for other local suburban Dems, who fear the Socialist Dem label, spilling/spreading/blasted over into those suburban districts in a damaging/losing way. I agree 'the local candidate should have a good take on what will help or hurt' - [ that local candidates OWN interests, which are not necessarily the same as other local Dem candidate interests, or the November Dem win the House agenda].
