Colorado Attorney General issues cease-and-desist order to Woodland Park Bible conference

Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser has issued a cease-and desist order to Andrew Wommack Ministries of Woodland Park, northwest of Colorado Springs, saying the organization's Summer Family Bible Conference violated public health orders.

The July 2 order for the week-long conference that started June 29 comes as churches holding indoor services have become hot spots for outbreaks of COVID-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus.

Despite the directive, the conference, a bible teaching and worship event, continued as scheduled through its completion at noon on July 3, ministry spokeswoman Eileen Quinn said.

The campus was closed to visitors Monday; but a summer school session for the Bible college is in operation until July 31 with 20 students, Quinn said.

Colorado has recorded nearly 35,000 Covid-19 cases, and 1,700 deaths.

Colorado Atty. Gen. Phil Weiser: Immediate compliance with the cease-and-desist order is required, and any continued noncompliance will result in a temporary restraining order.

Attendees stuffed into the auditorium. Staff had no control over the audience.

Not to mention starting the event with a combat scene/explosion, with dead bodies. Great celebration

Ironic, because they live off these Bible thumpers - but act in the most un-Christian way possible.

It's as if Christ, instead of reviving Lazarus, knew that the man had died of some plague - and insisted on having a mass sermon on the nearby Mount of Olives during said plague.

Then we wonder how a Bush or a Trump could come about.

Pass The Loot.

Incidentally, have you heard about Bolsonaro's coming up positive on his Covid test?

Talk about instant karma - though I do hope he recovers, and has a realization on this issue the way Boris Johnson did after his own bout with Covid. Brazil needs that.

And do please say a prayer for neighboring Argentina. The center-left president has really taken Covid seriously (his March 19 stay-home order was among the first, and toughest, in the world) - but still they're having a very hard time containing this, with 80,000 cases and counting (mostly in and around Buenos Aires).

Proof that sometimes even taking things seriously isn't enough.

I am torn about Brazil's covidiot. But hoping he does come to his senses.

Believe me, I am praying for the whole world. We are all in this mess together. I do appreciate the countries that are doing their best to deal with this plague. Scary that even some of the best efforts are still not enough.
