I do remember the mall too - it has been replaced by condos and apartment, but across the highway (Hwy 285) they have a new Costco and Super Target.

I remember Funtastic Nathan's in Cinderalla City and had a birthday party there.

Years later, got to see the old big-ass teddy bear (poor thing is now patchy and now long retired) before Funtastic Nathan shut down the Broadway location and changed into Lollipop Park in South Suburban Rec Center.

Broke my foot two years ago jumping on the ball pit - thought it was deep - was shallow. Had to have surgery nearly a year later after conservative healing didn't work.

I was so impressed by how quickly I got mine renewed there that I was bragging to everyone on how efficient Colorado was...

Of course less than a year later they closed all the satellite DMV stations and my next time around was in Lakewood full DVM office where I waited for nearly two hours (in very unpleasant circumstances)....

Sigh... Not all change is good...

Aurora Mall changed to Town Center of Aurora, but it looks MUCH better, but the Century 21 theatre nearby where they had the shooting in July still lays bare... I think they are going to renovate the two theaters (that were involved in the shooting) inside to be one mega theatre.

And I did get my license renewed there. I miss Montgomery Wards and Joslins

Wasn't there a good hamburger restaurant across from the movie theaters? What was its name?

Sort of half fast food and half sit down restaurant where you ordered through an intercom system on the table and they brought it out to you?

Yup, I remember....

I remember that place, and wonder how many ADA laws it was breaking with that setup.

When I was a kid, I used to play with the phone at Round the Corner alot....

Do you remember when the Peoples' Fair was at East High? When it was a treat to eat at the Denver? When Fashion Bar had everything in fashion? When the Art Museum architecture was known all over the nation as radical? When driving to Boulder was easy and Central City looked like a real mining town, Louisville, Lafayette, and Longmont were not called "suburbs", and Gold Hill was a real hippie place? And Naropa was "far out"? When going to the slopes for a day was no problem? But we still have the Satire and some of the same great people!

Yes yes yes, I remember Fashion Bar near my grocery store and often had to go with my sisters (i got two older one) and just sit there since there was nothing for me.

the DAM is still there, and it's growing bigger - just added Clifford Stills Museum earlier this year, and a garage parking lot.

The Central Library at the Denver Public Library looks like a castle now, it didn't 20 years ago.

Fucking puppy miller buyers. I once handed out anti-puppy mill flyers there.

and they still exist over at Town Center @ Aurora, and I prefer not to go in there.

Ditto for that "exotic" pet store in Park Meadows. Another puppy miller.

I'd rather go over to Washington St Kennels (I found out they moved) and check out what they have.

Only looked at them. The last time I went there was probably about 10 years ago.

You're right - I didn't know that WSK was another puppy miller.

But my last dog did come from a independent pet owner, and currently lives in Thornton to a wonderful family. Teddy is a 10 years old Maltepoo.

But I certainly could use a mouser around here, but the wife does not like pets (hence, the reason I had to let go of Teddy)
