DENVER, Colo. (CBS4) A Longmont mother whose unborn baby was killed by a drunk driver is now leading an effort to change Colorado law. She submitted petitions to the Secretary of States Office on Monday to direct lawmakers to add unborn human beings to state criminal code.
The Brady Amendment will now be on the November ballot.
A year after her unborn baby was killed by a drunk driver, Heather Surovik is fighting to amend the Colorado Constitution to define her unborn son Brady as a person.

I feel bad this woman lost her baby but I feel worse that she responds to that loss by wanting to hurt even more people. They just refuse to ever give up... They just keep coming back with shit like this in the hopes people will not realize what it is and it will pass. So... Be aware it is back again like athletes foot.

(21,894 posts)The article quotes someone called Personhood Director Gualberto Garcia Jones and a google search leads directly to Personhood USA... Fundies are always behind non-sense like this.

(2,012 posts)I saw a brief bite on CBS but didn't know how far it had gone. With groups like Planned Parenthood we've fought this "personhood" effort for years but as you wrote they just don't give up. Need to get out the truth to Colorado about this amendment before Nov.

Too bad for her unborn fetus, but it is not a person until it is outside of the womb.
