Planned Parenthood expands services

Planned Parenthood of Southern New England announced Tuesday that it is now offering expanded health care services at its Meriden, New London and Waterbury health centers.

Patients can now receive treatment at these locations for common illnesses such as colds, the flu, ear infections, sinus infections, seasonal allergies and strep throat, as well as reproductive health care services that Planned Parenthood has traditionally provided.

"We are growing and it is truly exciting," said Judy Tabar, president and chief executive officer of Planned Parenthood Southern New England. "Offering new health care services demonstrates our commitment to providing high-quality care to all of the women, men and young people in our communities. Our patients can see the same medical providers they have come to know and trust for their reproductive health care appointments."
