D.C.-area January outlook: Turning colder and maybe whiter

The month follows the District’s fifth-warmest and fourth-wettest December, and the second-warmest and 39th-driest calendar year.

We project the D.C. area will see fairly typical January temperatures, averaging between 36.5 and 38.5 degrees, compared with the normal of 37.5. We foresee a continuation of above-normal precipitation with the equivalent of about 3 to 5 inches of rain, compared with the normal of 2.86 inches.

Our normal January snowfall is 4.9 inches, and we predict a range of about 4 to 8 inches.

and they await his visit!

My daughter's picking up some things for me; I was planning to visit grocery, but she's added my 'list' to hers.

AND learned family with chicks is about to start selling eggs! Hope to catch some pics of those, and buy a few.
