Wind chills tonight into Friday morning will be brutal! Bundle up if headed out.

Happening now: Winds should subside somewhat Thursday night but still gust around 30 mph. Under clear skies, temperatures should dip into the 20s with wind chills in the teens beyond late evening.

What’s next? Cold and wind will likely linger into Friday as highs reach the mid- and upper 30s. Take heart, by Sunday a real warm-up should get underway. . .

Tonight: West and northwest winds only weaken somewhat. Lows range from about 22 to 28 but windchills will be in the teens much of the night. Bundle up if out! The crisp air accentuates the starry sky; a crescent moon and Venus stand out on the western horizon in the evening. Confidence: High
