Unvaccinated Metro employees must now submit to twice-weekly testing

Metro is requiring its unvaccinated employees to get tested for COVID-19 twice a week in light of the highly transmissible omicron variant.
According to an internal memo sent to employees, starting Jan. 10, 2022, unvaccinated employees will be required to test for the virus and submit their results to a portal every four days.
Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority reported that, after Thanksgiving, 18 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded among the transit systems employees. Two weeks later, more than 100 new cases were reported, according to Metro.

WMATA is also asking employees to cancel any indoor group gatherings or celebrations at work, as well as reduce the number of people in break rooms.

The insurance companies need to stop covering hospital bills for the unvaccinated.
Why should the rest of us pay for these costs through higher premiums, when we've done the right thing by getting shots?
Start paying for tests, while continuing to "research" the vaccines, because you clearly know better than the scientists who developed them.

There may be less of them in DC, but I doubt that everyone working DC Metro voted for Joe.

some don't trust it for religious or conspiracy views. Some are the essential oil and herbal remedy types on the left. There were a lot of complaints to the Mayor's office when she implemented the vaccine mandate for most indoor activities like restaurants and theaters.
