WASHINGTON (7News) New data released Monday shows a surge in COVID-19 cases in Washington D.C. making the nation's capital an omicron hot spot.
Cases have gone from a daily average of 60 at Thanksgiving to nearly 2,000 currently. That's a staggering 3,300% increase from Thanksgiving.
D.C. reports 9,200 new positive cases between Dec. 23-26, bringing the district's total to 88,765.
A total of 1,209 District of Columbia residents have lost their lives to COVID over the span of the pandemic.

(47,043 posts)despite the snide comments I get from maskholes. It's everywhere so we're all going to get it sooner or later. Vaccinated people are having better outcomes.
