(136,595 posts)Near the Shenandoah on the Loudoun/Clarke border.
Saw the first flakes at about 8:30. Was 1/2 mile from the house, on my way home from work. Perfect timing.
Got about 1 of new snow out there now. Its icy, sparkly snow, not wet and heavy like on Monday.

(5,158 posts)It was just flurries earlier, now its sticking. The leftover snow from Monday melted quickly over the past two days and I could see the grass when I left for work this afternoon.

(136,595 posts)Wondering when I'll be able to drive out, 'cause I'm about a mile from the road, my 'driveway' = unpaved paths (with overhanging trees,) so may take a while, especially with this 'new' snow.
Forecast is for 'light' rain Sunday, with hi @ 52!

(5,158 posts)But who knows if the road will be plowed tomorrow? It might be more fun to have my friend/coworker come pick me up for work. He got a Wrangler a couple months ago and Im sure he would be happy to do a little extra 4WD cruising.
This weather lately has been so screwy!

(136,595 posts)as I have a Toyota corolla and they have a heavy 4wd something which makes the drive from road through the 'woods' along my path easily.
