Percent positive jumps to more than 6 percent in Florida

Percent positive jumps to more than 6 percent as Florida adds 3,662 COVID-19 cases

Tuesday's report from the Florida Department of Health showed an increase of 3,662 COVID-19 cases for Oct. 19.

That brings the total to 760,389 coronavirus cases reported statewide since March.

Nationally, the trend of new COVID-19 infections continues to trend higher, with the number of cases reported daily nationwide the highest since July.

The state also reported another 84 Floridians and two non-residents had died after testing positive for coronavirus. That brings the total to 16,105 residents and 203 non-residents who have died since the pandemic began.
