Incompetence trumps principle in CD-18.

I was initially shocked when the list of supporters of the amicus brief supporting did not include my Trump sycophant, Brian Mast (CD-18). Mystery solved: https://www.orlandosentinel.com/politics/os-ne-florida-republicans-trump-lawsuit-20201211-h6sebdecarbxdj4ucmnbw624ya-story.html

From the article: " A spokesman for Rep. Brian Mast said he supported the lawsuit as well but missed the deadline to sign the brief for it."

An unlikely stand on principle is replaced by "the dog ate my homework." Knowing Mast, he expects to have it both ways. If you love the lawsuit he supported it and if you don't, he didn't sign on to the amicus brief.
