Florida
Related: About this forumPeople I know are traveling to other counties to get their COVID
vaccine because none is available locally. Sooner or later, the locals in these smaller counties are going to cause trouble. They deserve to be pissed, but some carry concealed weapons and nerves are raw. I see trouble coming.

(9,103 posts)...at any rate, using Publix is also a choice to support the GOPers.

I live in Pinellas, and their first big roll out is next week. My wife and I drove about an hour and got the 1st shot. We are scheduled for the 2nd shot.
It seems like a bit of luck and skill at hunting around on the internet to get an appointment.

(30,288 posts)Publix got the vaccine after a $100K campaign donation to DeSatan.
There will be a chance to fight for one of 8,000 shots here in Pinellas next week. Pinellas makes couples have separate appointments.

I have no desire to discuss my residency with some redneck asshole who has a concealed carry permit. Congratulations on getting the vaccine.
Biden needs to take the vaccine away from DeSatan and his crew of thieves.

(25,267 posts)there are no rules that restrict anyone to only getting vaccinated in his/her own county. Here in Pa. there are plenty of anti-vaxxers who don't want to get the vaccine. They just opened up the 1st phase to include people 65 and up here in Pa. I signed up, to get in line, in 3 counties. When I signed up they know where I live so I don't see a problem. I do 99% of my shopping in a different county than where I live. My doctor is from another county and they are registering people based on their doctor which makes me sign up in another county.

(30,288 posts)"The further north you go in Florida, the further south you get?" That applies here. Florida doesn't allow people to "get in line" it has a series of Internet stampedes as vaccine becomes available. I suspect our governor is favoring Repuke areas when vaccine is distributed.
He's using a grocery chain that gave his campaign $100K to administer the vaccine. It all sucks.
