Related: About this forumFully vaccinated rates for ages 65 and over: Florida at 92%; RI, ME and VT at 99.9%; WV 74.8%
I am pleasantly surprised FL's senior population has a 92% vaccination rate. I do hope the remaining 8% have had a productive talk with their health care provider about the vaccination.
Absolutely incredible that RI, ME and VT have vaccinated almost 100% of their seniors.
Joe Manchin needs to beat the drum in WV for vaccination.

(16,296 posts)Sore arm, a few little problems but nothing serious. Was surprised at the line at Publix pharmacy to get either booster or - in two cases - first time shots. And most of the people in the store was wearing masks. Good signs.

(16,602 posts)It shows that in numerous large states California, Wisconsin, Florida, North Carolina 99.9% of the over-65s have had at least one shot.
Id be surprised. I know 3 people in my small circle who are not vaccinated one is 65+, another late 50s.

(778 posts)The seniors that we associate with have all had second shots for several months now. But from the rhetoric of others, I'm surprised we have that high of a percentage of the vaccinated in our age group.
Thankfully we got Pfizer, unlike many people right in my area, so we have already gotten our third shot. Mid 60's and mid-70s here. We also encountered a few people who were just getting their first one. Some people confuse me.
