Any recommendations for hotels, B&Bs in the Florida Keys?

Thinking of going this spring. Maybe stay in Key Largo, then move down to Marathon or even Key West if we can find something affordable. Looks like rooms down there are expensive. We're hoping to find some places in the middle, not high end, range.

If minimalism is ok with you, Rainbow Bend is awesome! lark Feb 2022 #2
If you stay at a Key West hotel don't be surprised to find a big mirror on the ceiling over the bed. Towlie Feb 2022 #3

- It was very nice. - Don’t know about B&Bs.
- But, the very BEST breakfast place in Key West is Blue Heaven- U must check it out! Go early because there’s always A line!! Happy trails .

It's in Grassy Key just before Marathon and is very reasonable and includes a cooked breakfast that is top notch. It's a great place if you have a dog, there's a good sized beach area for them to run on and the suites on the beach are great for privacy. The empty properties on either side are always full of sea birds and it's an good place to chill with nature. We and our Aussie Shepherd had a great week there at the end of August just a few months ago.

?

I'm serious. This was back in the 1980s during my one and only night spent in Key West.
