Shameless plug to find homes for fostered kittens in SW Florida
This is cross posted to the Pets Group as well.
My spouse and I have been rescuing kittens for the last 17 years, first in Aruba and now in SW Florida. We have always operated out of our home when trying to place rescues but this year we've had more kittens than we easily find homes for.
At peak we had our 6 adults, 2 bottle babies and a mother with her 5 kittens. 14 cats in the house. The kittens are now getting to the age where they slipping out of kitten cute to young adult crazy.
We are working with the local, all volunteer rescue; HEAL out of Ft. Myers. In an effort to find suitable homes we have place kittens at the adoption center in the PetSmart at Coconut Point Mall in Estero. They are not at all happy being caged and neither are we.
I am going to be at the mall tomorrow, Saturday, and right now, I am going to ask DU members to spread the word.
If you know anyone who is seeking to adopt a house raised, well adjusted (many other cats of all ages and a Pomeranian) kitten, please spread the word.
Since the one group has been at the PetSmart, little Eltee has been adopted. I will be bringing the 2 bottle babies up there tomorrow and would really love to see all of them find great homes. It would also be so cool to meet other DUers if you are in the area and would like to drop by to say hello.
