Where are all the big guns??

I assume that polling or something has taken Florida off the list. MSNBC has done a great job exposing Rubio and DeSatan for weeks. Local papers too.

I've seen very few visits from the Democratic leadership, minimal national advertising, and our local GOTV is doing the best we can with resources.

Our the GOP sent DeSatan signs to everyone. We are bombarded with attack ads about Demmings and Crist that are crazy.

I can only conclude that the national people have crossed Florida off unless the ex-felons and college students decide to vote. There are no marches or similar rallies like we had for women a few years ago. The gay pride parades were huge. We just don't have a Georgia style enthusiasm.

Let em know if it's just my neighborhood (Clearwater).

It's a bad year for Dems in Florida, both DeSantis and Rubio have been polling way ahead of their competitors. Combined with Florida's rightward trend the last decade, resources may be better spent in more competitive races, rather than throwing dozens of millions into the Demings and Crist races, deploying Democratic leaders, only for them both to still lose by significant margins.

I'm not saying Florida should be ignored, but in this current cycle, it just makes sense for the money and manpower to be used elsewhere.

DeSantis cruelty must be very attractive to some retirees seeking a warm place to live after enjoying the benefits of good public services and public education for their kids "up north", "back home."

...I hear state income taxes is the issue a lot.

You are correct. They had good schools and services for decades, but move to Florida without regard for much except retirement.

If the GOP really messed with SS or Medicare, it would turn them around, but it never actually happens.

I don't see Florida going Blue again unless we get a lot more young people. The racism is getting worse.

It is very discouraging.

They messed with that bigly.

Seniors who don't think they will kill ss and medicare have very large investment funds. The portfolio totals are what will drive them.

$1200 a month isn't keeping them alive. Many don't think it's a big deal.

Monday at 11am there were 4 voters there - 4. Woman said it was busy from 7-10 then almost nothing. It was me and 3 black women, so I liked the mix, anyway. I just dont have a good feeling about this. Death Sentence ads run every second and are total lies and ugliness about Demings. She would do so well with a Medicare/Social Security truth telling ad - why aren't the Dems pushing her more?

You got an ex-Republican running as the Democratic candidate for governor and an unknown Congressperson from the Orlando area running for Senator. The field was never strong.
