Counties see strong early voter turnout ahead of Nov. 5 election

About a week into early voting, Morgan County already has seen about 450 people submit their ballots ahead of the Nov. 5 general election.

"It's been pretty steady," Morgan County Clerk Sherry Sills said. "This is closer to what it was in 2020 with COVID. We had a good turnout."

Registered voters can vote early at their county courthouse or request a mail-in ballot ahead of Election Day.

Sills expects the number to continue to increase steadily until the election, she said.
